Beware- The following information may scare you to death!!
Here's our excitement for the week!! Thursday night started like every other Thursday night, until Mom and I started trying to find out where all of the ants where coming from that were invading her truck. We looked at the trail of ants leading to our push mower (in our carport), and Mom instructed me to lift up the mower. Maybe this was our mistake. As I lifted the mower, a baby (2 1/2 ft.) snake dropped it's head down. I couldn't see this, but Mom moved faster than I have seen her move in a while!! And, the rest was history. I got the pistol out, and of course Mom shot the darn thing. Any snake in my yard is a dead snake, no matter if it's a "good" snake or not. So, after the excitement, Mom and I decided to do a little research. Ferrell was working, so he missed everything!! He claims he was lucky?!?! But, the research was done, and it was a Canebrake Rattlesnake. This picture is of a full grown one, but had we not taken care of the problem, this could have been what we found!!! So, be careful right now, and always look where you step- you never know what can be lurking where!!

Oooo, coool!!
Wish there was a recorded commentary...I bet it would be quite entertaining (and possibly condemning)!! :)
I'm adding you to my rss reader thingy...Just what I need, one more blog to keep me from the things I should be doing.
Welcome to the wonderful and dangerous world of blogging. Let me know how long it takes before you realize that you're assessing the blogability of situations you find yourself in.
One more thing...
Have you thought about the fact, where there's BABY snakes, you'll find...
Yes, yes, yes!! That's my biggest fear is the mommy and daddy snakes-they have to be at least four or five feet long!! If I find one of them, I will probably find myself in the hospital- and not because of a snake bite!!!
oh my gosh! i can't wait to tell nate this story! p.s. you should post your double rainbow ;) much love! ml and ally
